The SKA Observatory which hosts this year's edition of PARI will offer two optional workshops on the Monday morning to help practitioners learn additional skills and help them in their roles. If this is something you're interested in, make sure to select one of them at registration!
This workshop is aimed at beginners, and will provide simple steps and pointers to get you started making videos. To take part you will only need a smartphone and to be familiar with how to use the video camera function. The workshop will cover preparing and planning, and advice for filming and editing your video.After attending you will be encouraged to practice by making a short video of your experience at PARI! To do this, we suggest you download the free version of Adobe Premiere Rush (available for mobile or laptop), or alternatively if you have an Instagram account you can use the Reels tool within that to create short videos. Guidance can be provided on both of these at or following the workshop.
