Below is a range of recommended accommodation near the Jodrell Bank site. The SKAO is planning to run transport from the following towns, and therefore recommends participants consider staying there. Participants may also choose to stay in Manchester and can commute to Wilsmlow/Macclesfield train stations, where a bus will stop to take participants to the venue. Costs are indicative only.
Premier Inn - from £150 per night
The Stanneylands - from £110 per night
Coach & Four - from £86 per night
Premier Inn North - from £88 per night
Travel Lodge - from £62 per night
Alderley Edge Hotel - from £109 per night
de Trafford - from £66 per night

The quickest way to get from the airport to one of the recommended hotels above is by booking a taxi. StreetCars provide airport transfers where you can indicate your flight details for optimum pickup. Ubers are also available from the airport but note they are harder to book from Wilmslow, Macclesfield or Alderley Edge.
As the SKAO Global Headquarters and Jodrell Bank site are not accessible by public transport, we will arrange transport to/from the conference venue from the Wilmslow/Alderley Edge and Macclesfield areas where there is a range of accommodation options. This will include Wilmslow & Macclesfield train stations where there are frequent trains to/from Manchester should participants like to stay in the city.
Please refer to the recommended accommodation above to benefit from transport to the venue.
Please note that visa processing times are currently taking longer than normal so we encourage you to contact us without delay.
